Feralia.net blog. episode 102: Review – Uncanny X-Men #350

UX 350
Next up on my X-Men reading Project is a single issue, Uncanny X-Men #350. While I featured 3 single issues of Cable not long ago, this is the first time in the whole reading project I’ll be featuring just one. I already had this issue in my collection, so I didn’t have to search for a collection which included it. If you want to pick it up, it shouldn’t be too pricey if you shop around. Check with your local comic shop. There is also a foil edition that I wish I would have known about back when this issue was originally released which is apparently worth a good bit more.

One thing I really liked about this special issue is that the cover opens up to make a really cool wraparound picture.

As usual I won’t go into much detail to keep things spoiler free for those unfamiliar with the story. But if you’ve been reading up to this point you’ll know that Gambit has been really secretive about his past. Just what has he been hiding? At this point it’s been a long time coming, but as you can tell from the cover, things are about to catch up with him. The issue doesn’t disappoint. I love the artwork and really enjoyed the story!

One quick side point to note is that during Operation Zero Tolerance, about half of the X-Men are away, on an adventure in space. If you read the Operation Zero Tolerance collection you’ll notice that there are no issues of Uncanny X-Men. The issues of Uncanny during this time feature the events in space, which I didn’t include in the reading order because it seems like nothing major takes place. However, at the end of these issues is the important #350.

You won’t want to miss this one, especially if you’re a Gambit fan!
